    Join us for our annual meeting in Washington, DC on September 5th at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.  The business meeting and CE programming is planned to begin at noon with a reception to follow at 6:30pm. The fee for non-members/non-healthcare professionals including guests is $85 for the daytime meeting and evening reception or $50 for the evening reception alone.  Payments are accepted online via PayPal or credit card.

    The continuing “Compendium of Strategies to Prevent Healthcare-Associated Infections in Acute Care Hospitals: 2014 Updates” series is being published monthly in Infection Control and Healthcare Epidemiology.  For those that participate in these endeavors, you can review recommendations for preventing central line–associated bloodstream infections and preventing transmission and infection due to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus   in this months edition.

    The Board of Directors of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) is

    pleased to announce the availability of funding from Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to support TWO Antimicrobial Stewardship/Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Residencies or Fellowships for the period of July 2014 through June 2015.

    The intent of this funding is to foster the development of advanced training opportunities for pharmacists committed to the practice area and/or research of antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases.  See the attached RFP with hyperlinks.
