ADVANCE infectious diseases pharmacy and LEAD antimicrobial stewardship in order
to OPTIMIZE the care of patients

Contribute to the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) Research and Scholarship Endowment

Help support the advancement of SIDP Members!

We are thrilled to relaunch SIDP’s Annual Giving Campaign!

In an exciting development, SIDP will be combining this year’s donations with the organization’s own investment toward the creation of a new:

SIDP Research and Scholarship Endowment

This endowment will represent an initial investment fund of at least $1 million dollars to develop SIDP members through increased opportunities in research, scholarship, and travel support. The income generated from these investments will be specifically dedicated to providing SIDP research and training grant opportunities in a predictable, enduring fashion.

Based on your generous donations last year, we were able to fund two $1,000 SIDP Trainee Awards for travel and presentation of their research at the 2019 SIDP Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.:

    • Chitra Kanchager, a student at Oregon State University who presented, “Frequency of Inappropriate Antibiotic Prescribing in Nursing Homes”
    • Melanie Mahoney, a student at University of Minnesota who presented, “Escherichia coli (EC) ST131-H30 Clonal Group is Associated with Antimicrobial Resistance, Illness Severity, Host Compromise, and Non-Cure among Patients with Bacteriuria”

SIDP’s Mission is to ADVANCE infectious diseases pharmacy, LEAD antimicrobial stewardship, and OPTIMIZE the care of patients. Your donation today will support awards that advance the essential role of pharmacists in antimicrobial pharmacotherapy and antimicrobial stewardship.
