SIDP Grant Programs

Educational Grant

Purpose

SIDP is committed to our vision of safe and effective antimicrobials for now and the future. Therefore, we offer the opportunity for other non-profit organizations or individuals to apply for funding to support initiatives that align with the mission, vision, and core values of SIDP. Applications will be considered for sponsorship of conferences (including sponsorship of SIDP member speakers), initiatives that provide public education, and/or support novel training mechanisms for healthcare professionals.

About SIDP

SIDP is an association of pharmacists and other allied health professionals committed to promoting the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents and supporting practice, teaching, and research in infectious diseases.

Funding

Financial support is limited to $2,500 per individual budget request

Application Criteria

Requests for funding (500 words maximum) should include the following information:

  1. Describe your project or event and how it relates to SIDP’s mission, vision, and core values

  2. Describe expected project outcomes.

  3. Provide a detailed budget for the requested funds

Submission and Review of Proposals

Proposals should be emailed to treasurer@sidp.org and will be reviewed by the Board as received. Grants will be awarded twice annually. Applications for the first cycle will be accepted from January 18th through February 26th, 2021 and awardees notified by March 15th, 2021. Applications for the second cycle will be accepted from June 1st through June 30th, 2021 and awardees will be notified by July 19th, 2021. 

In the event of multiple requests that exceed what SIDP can support in a given budget year, priority will be given to organizations/events that have not previously received funding support from SIDP.
