Job Description
Provides Clinical Pharmacy oversight in coordination of clinical activities in specialized areas. The clinical coordinator may coordinate the clinical work of a group of clinical specialists to manage service lines within pharmacy management. The clinical coordinator will lead/chair specified areas in regard to drug program coordination and monitoring, staff development, evaluation and selection of medications, development of medication policies in order to advance pharmacy practice, and ensuring safe and cost-effective drug therapy and optimal patient outcomes. The clinical coordinator will act as chair for assigned committees within the healthcare system. The clinical coordinator will assist in implementing the system goals within their areas of responsibilities. The qualified candidate will support and implement the Joint Commission/Regulatory initiatives and medication management standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education (or equivalent years of experience):
Degree from an Accredited College of pharmacy -
B. Experience (or equivalent education):
PGY1 Residency or equivalent, or 3 years of relevant experience. (NOTE: A PGY1 residency is equivalent to 3 years of experience, & completion of the PGY2 residency is equivalent to 2 additional years of experience. (Candidates that completes a PGY1 + PGY 2 would have a total of 5 years of experience.)
C. Licensure
Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida-
D. Certification/Registration
Board certification preferred, or Residency preferred.
