Title: Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Clinical Specialist
Location: Lee Health, Fort Myers, Florida
Position Summary: This 1.0 FTE position will focus on Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Diseases pharmacy practice at Lee Health, including in the Ambulatory care setting. Antimicrobial stewardship program management activities and precepting of pharmacy trainees (including PGY2 ID pharmacy residents) are anticipated. This individual will directly report to the System Director of Pharmacy, and will collaborate with 3 other Lee Health ID pharmacists, the Medical Director for Infection Prevention, Epidemiology, and Antimicrobial Stewardship, and other physician and pharmacy leadership as needed to accomplish the goals of the position.

Lee Health boasts a wide range of ambulatory health care services, including skilled nursing facilities, primary care clinics, specialty clinics, urgent care, employee health, Complex Care Center (infusion services), home infusion, oncology center, outpatient pharmacy, a free-standing emergency department, and specialty pharmacy services.
The Pharmacy Mission is Optimizing Patient Outcomes Through Interdisciplinary Medication Management. Services are provided by more than 200 pharmacists and 180 pharmacy technicians, in 14 pharmacies and other decentralized locations. Pharmacy education at Lee Health includes PGY1 pharmacy residency programs (acute care and community-based), and PGY2 residencies in Infectious Diseases, Critical Care, Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership, and Pediatrics. Our preceptors accept APPE students from colleges of pharmacy both within and outside of the state of Florida. The system also supports medical residency and education programs, including a family medicine residency program, an internal medicine residency program, and medical student rotations.
