Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate for Acute Care

SIDP’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program is a practice-based certificate program focused on the role pharmacists play in the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents.

Certificate program participants begin by developing a strong knowledge base in microbiology, pharmacology, and disease state management, then practice developing interventions that aim to improve patient care, minimize resistance, lower healthcare costs, and prolong longevity of antimicrobials.

This certificate program is Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited and emphasizes a team-based approach to healthcare. Participants who successfully complete the program are eligible for a free 1-year SIDP associate membership.
