The Rhode Island Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is a two-year program reviewed and recommended by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). The fellow will join the infectious diseases pharmacology division of the program while having the opportunity to work with the outcomes and Antimicrobial Stewardship implementation science division. Pharmacology training will aim to discover new knowledge in prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. Fellows will employ knowledge acquired through training to conduct research to become an independent investigator. They will develop research protocols and publish their findings as first author and present at national/international meetings. This program is one of a limited number of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) awarded pharmacy fellowships in the VA nationally.
