The Rhode Island Infectious Diseases (RIID) Research Program is a two year program reviewed and recommended by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).  The research program is focused on the prevention, treatment, virulence inhibition and clinical outcomes associated with drug resistant bacteria. The program is divided into three divisions: the in vitro pharmacology division, the outcomes and pharmacoepidemiology division, and the implementation science outreach division. This program is one of a limited number of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) awarded pharmacy fellowships in the VA nationally.
