In celebration of 30 Years of SIDP, the SIDP Research Committee would like to highlight the research contributions of SIDP members over the last 30 years.

The papers cited in the document below were selected from research publications supported by SIDP grants or awards or were produced from members with key roles in SIDP.  These publications represent a small “sampling over time” of the breadth of research accomplishments from our members.  Please join us in commemorating the literature which our SIDP members and colleagues have participated in.

In celebration of 30 Years of SIDP, the SIDP Stewardship Committee would like to recognize the growth of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program. As highlighted in last weeks’ 30 years of SIDP digest, the Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program has grown significantly over the last several years.  In this week’s digest, the Stewardship committee is highlighting the global distribution of those who have graduated from the Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program.

The SIDP Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate program was initiated in 2010 with the purpose of providing antimicrobial stewardship training to pharmacists in order to develop and implement successful antimicrobial stewardship programs.  Since the graduation of the first participant from the program in 2012, the certificate program has continued to expand worldwide.

Learn about the diverse locations for graduates of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program below!

In celebration of 30 Years of SIDP, the SIDP Annual Reports Committee would like to highlight the growth of the organization over the past three decades.

Whether it is the increasing membership over the years or the changing practice, SIDP continues to evolve. The growth of the organization is due to the dedication of the SIDP leaders and members as yourself. Please join us in thanking the leaders and our colleagues for their dedication and commitment to SIDP.

In celebration of 30 Years of SIDP, the SIDP Policy and Government Affairs would like to highlight 30 of the top moments since the inception of SIDP.

Over that time there has been significant growth and increased involvement of SIDP members in collaboration with other national organizations including the FDA, CDC, NIH, as well as many others.  Join us to take the opportunity to review these moments and celebrate the rich history of SIDP.

In celebration of 30 Years of SIDP, the SIDP Nominations & Bylaws Committee would like to recognize the leaders within our organization. The successes and accomplishments of SIDP are because of the excellent, hard-working members who volunteer their time to serve.

Leadership comes in many different forms, and can be found at all levels within SIDP including, but not limited to the board of directors, committee chairs, and task forces. While we are not able to highlight and recognize all of our leaders in this event, we want to thank all SIDP members and leaders for their dedication, time, and efforts to SIDP.

We’ve selected 30 SIDP leaders and wanted to provide an opportunity for you to learn more about each of them as well as their SIDP leadership. SIDP leaders were asked to provide a professional accomplishment that they were proud of, why they chose to be an ID pharmacist, and a fun fact about themselves. All SIDP leaders are alphabetized by last name. In an effort to minimize duplication with another committee’s 30 Years of SIDP activity, past-presidents were excluded from this list.

In celebration of 30 years of SIDP, the Publications and Podcasts committee has introduced a recurring column in the newsletters called “Celebrating 30 Years of SIDP” written by SIDP founding members/past presidents including John Bosso, Peggy Carver, and Michael Dudley, and Pubs and Pods Vice-chair Rachel Britt. Each edition of the newsletter explores a different topic: a history of ID pharmacy, a history of SIDP, the present of SIDP, and the future of SIDP.

The July 2021 edition of the SIDP Newsletter will celebrate the 30 years of SIDP by reflecting on the current state of SIDP, and will be available to SIDP members on the Newsletters page on July 23, 2021. In addition, highlights from all four columns were published as the inaugural Bench to Bedside with SIDP column on ContagionLive.

For this week’s edition, we are taking a moment to recognize the SIDP Website Committee for their year-long contributions in supporting the 30 Years of SIDP campaign and other organization-wide communication efforts. The SIDP Website Committee is led by Ryan Crass as Chair, Kendall Tucker as Vice-Chair, Eric Wenzler as Past Chair, and Julie Ann Justo as Board Liaison. The committee has been tasked with creation of the 30 years of SIDP webpage and uploading weekly blog posts reflecting the activities of each SIDP committee, in addition to their other ongoing responsibilities.

The SIDP website is a wonderful resource for the SIDP members and the public. It now has over 70,000 users and over 265,000 pageviews annually. It draws audiences from around the globe and helps support the mission of SIDP to ADVANCE infectious diseases pharmacy and LEAD antimicrobial stewardship to OPTIMIZE the care of patients with infections.

Check out the new toolkit resources on the website including: Antimicrobial Stewardship Advocacy Toolkit, Vancomycin AUC Toolkit, and COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibody Toolkit (coming very soon)!

Please join us in giving a special thanks to the SIDP Website Committee and its members for all of their hard work!
