About SIDP

Promoting a Healthier World

Founded in 1990, the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) is an association of pharmacists and allied healthcare professionals dedicated to promoting the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents. The membership of SIDP encompasses individuals engaged in patient care, research, teaching, pharmaceutical industry and government.

SIDP is represented by members in integral roles on national and international committees concerning antimicrobial agents, including:

  • Anti-Infective and Anti-Viral Drugs Advisory Committee, FDA
  • Therapeutic Working Committees on Antimicrobial Resistance, CDC
  • Committees on the Treatment of HIV Infection, DHHS

SIDP also collaborates with like-minded healthcare organizations to provide co-sponsored programming and political advocacy, including:

  • Infectious Diseases Society of America
  • American College of Clinical Pharmacy
  • Society of Healthcare and Epidemiology of America
  • American Society for Microbiology

Joining SIDP gives you an opportunity to connect with this inspiring and influential group of professionals, access educational and training resources and take a hands-on role in shaping our practice.
